…The anonymous story …called the #ADL a “danger” to Musk’s ownership & said it was one of several “powerful left-wing activist groups” that had “besieged” #Twitter before #Musk bought it. It claimed that the ADL’s CEO, #JonathanGreenblatt, “brought Twitter to heel” by telling the platform, “Play ball, or be ready to be put in league with Nazis.”
After #X’s new CEO, #LindaYaccarino, met w/ #ADL’s chief exec, #JonathanGreenblatt, last month in an effort to improve relations, some X users launched a campaign w/the hashtag “BantheADL”.
Jake Shields, whose bio on X IDs him as a “mixed martial arts champion & #RightWing #extremist,” led the charge. “Let’s get this trending to help wake the masses of how evil they truly are,” Shields posted.
The hashtag soon became a top trending topic, & on Fri, #Musk “liked” a post supporting the campaign.
