As a co-writer of this song, I can tell you the real deal on this one. My wife Amy and I were having a conversation about a bandmember who was busy with college engineering classes and couldn't make it to a gig. So Amy said to me, "Well she isn't taking underwater basket weaving." And I thought about it and said, "underwater basket weaving actually sounds pretty hard." We both said "That should be a song!"
