Therefore, some authors' associations demand a rule that authors indicate in their book whether and how they have used LLMs. But authors can lie.

Usually, you have to #factCheck every quote/stuff found in the internet: there were fakes long before #AI.

At least in the opening years of the proposed arrangement, when new enrichment facilities to produce fuel for #power plants are being built in cooperation w/ #Arab states, #Iran would be allowed to continue enriching #uranium at low levels, despite #Trump’s post on social media on Monday saying the #US would “not allow any enrichment of uranium.”

ProPublica and the Tribune, along with Venezuelan media outlets Cazadores de Fake News (Fake News Hunters) & Alianza Rebelde Investiga (Rebel Alliance Investigates), also obtained lists of alleged gang members that are kept by #Venezuelan law enforcement officials & the international law enforcement agency #Interpol. Those lists include some 1,400 names. NONE of the names of the 238 Venezuelan deportees matched those on the lists.

The data indicates that the govt knew that only 6 of the #immigrants were convicted of violent crimes: 4 for assault, 1 for kidnapping & 1 for a weapons offense. And it shows that ofcls were aware that more than half, or 130, of the deportees were not labeled as having any #criminal convictions or pending charges; they were labeled as only having violated #immigration laws.

But the govt’s own data, which was obtained by ProPublica, The Texas Tribune & a team of journalists from #Venezuela, showed that ofcls knew that only 32 of the deportees had been convicted of #US crimes & that most were nonviolent offenses, such as retail theft or traffic violations.

When multiple news organizations disputed those assertions w/reporting that showed many of the deportees did not have #criminal records, the #Trump admin doubled down. It said that its assessment of the deportees was based on a thorough vetting process that included looking at crimes committed both inside & outside the US.

The #Trump admin knew that the vast majority of the 238 #Venezuelan #immigrants it sent to a maximum-security prison in #ElSalvador in mid-March had not been convicted of crimes in the US before it labeled them #terrorists & #deported them, acc/to #DHS data that has not been previously reported.
Trump & his aides have branded the #Venezuelans as “rapists,” “savages,” “monsters” & “the worst of the worst.”
