The protesters had a march to chant in front of the locked (seemingly always?) doors of the President of VIU and put up signs. Then they marched off to the Library. The security people (regular uniform and also obvious plain closed contractors) were watching from multiple points including one fellow recording beside me. Why? 🤷‍♂️ It’s a protest! Isn’t this what Universities are supposed to have?

The governing body of one of the #UniversityOfAlberta's largest #faculties voted overwhelmingly Thursday against president Bill Flanagan's leadership after his handling of a pro #Palestinian #StudentProtest #encampment earlier this month.

The vote of #NonConfidence in Flanagan by the #ArtsFaculty council passed 56–7, with seven abstentions.
