A call to #pedal makers! As far as I know there’s no such thing as a pedal that takes a mic via XLR and gives you gain control and improves tone, maybe gives you reverb and that’s IT. Any vocal processing unit will do that, but they wanna focus on harmonies & pitch correction that I don’t want. ALL I want is the smallest pedal possible to give me gain and tone control, maybe a dash of reverb / delay. Please make that for me and I’ll buy one! #guitarpedals #effectspedals

Thinking about #effectspedals today and specifically pedal design....I wish more pedals had a "soft" activation switch to turn them on/off like Boss has on theirs, rather than what you find on the majority of non-Boss pedals...I'm not crazy about the loud "click" (some are less egregious than others, granted). Thoughts? #gearsquad

Hey #GearSquad a happy All Saints Day to you. What would cause a potentiometer to fail, and would it emit a burning odor when that occurs? Context: my volume pedal toasted itself last night. I think it’s the pot. The pedal now pops, crackles and no longer swells volume smoothly. Still under warranty, so I’ll send it back for service. Thanks! #guitar #effectspedals

Last week I played through an Ibanez Fat Cat and had something like, why not build a real Rat? The Fat Cat is nice but it's fitted with a 5534.

Finished the board today, now I need to find courage to box it. And order some 3n3 Wima film caps because that Kemet one looks out of step.

And the LM308?Just walked into a shop, asked for it and the guy behind the counter mumbled ah lo fi guitar op amp and pulled it out of a drawer from the gigantic closets behind him.

JOYO American Sound, clone of Tech21 NYC Blonde, into the effects return. It's hard to find indoor volume.

It's quite versatile and sounds sparkly. I think the thing I want it to do is in there somewhere.

Controls: 3 EQ knobs, then level, drive, and "voice" which is supposed to sweep between different amp sounds (clockwise = older amp model?)

All 3 make it louder.
It IS noisy, even with humbuckers. Not bad though.

Sometimes I wondered whether my Peavey amp had an effects loop, whether PWR AMP IN was return, and PRE AMP OUT was send.

Now I know it. I'd noticed the jacks years ago, but I only hooked something up to them today, for the first time.

I may buy an amp sim pedal and plug it into the effects return. I'm thinking of the JOYO American Sound - it might make my Peavey sound like a Fender. A bit.
