His new executive order blocks citizens from 12 nations, including Afghanistan, Iran, Somalia, Yemen, Sudan, Haiti, and others. This ban is cruel, discriminatory, and unconstitutional, and if we don’t act fast, it will take effect in days. We’ve seen this before. Trump’s first Muslim Ban sparked nationwide protests and legal challenges, and those lawsuits delayed it for years. That delay made a difference. Families reunited. Students entered the country. Refugees escaped danger. Now, Trump is using the same playbook with updated language and a longer target list to try to evade the courts. We can’t let him get away with it. This new version is designed to look legally safer, but the intent is just as ugly. It’s about scoring political points and scapegoating immigrants. As civil rights groups, human rights advocates, and even some Republicans have pointed out, this is bigotry as policy, nothing more. We can fight this, again. We’re calling on Attorneys General across the country to sue immediately to block implementation. These legal challenges are our best shot at slowing the ban, forcing revisions, and buying time for those whose lives are on the line. If we don't push back now, Trump will see silence as a green light for even more extremist attacks on immigrants.
