Vrogash's companion for his adventures is going to be the saucy little Redguard who fell out of Oblivion with him: Tashmiya af-Tihar.

Tash is an 18yo brat who ran away from her austere noble family at 14 to be a pirate, ended up joining the Thieves' Guild, and has a tramp stamp that reads "Nobody Really Cares" in ancient Yokudan.

She will never admit she likes anyone but will just keep showing up like a bad coin.

Vrogash always dreamed of being a heroic knight like in the Breton stories, but when he played with other kids, they said he could either be the bad guy or the blacksmith. Eventually he just decided to be the blacksmith.

We decided that as of the events of the start of the game, Vrogash has almost entirely lost his memory (being sacrificed in a ritual and killed and transported to Oblivion will do that to ya.)

One of the first things that happens in the #ESO tutorial is that in the midst of a rebellion against the evil Molag Bal an NPC yells at you to grab a weapon and join the fight. We imagined Vrogash's conflicted feelings - wanting to help so badly but having this vague inchoate feeling that it was Not Okay for him to resort to violence. But he can't remember why, so he takes the plunge.

Vrogash finally gets to be the heroic knight he always wanted to be. T.T

It took them three tries to find a village where even a fraction of the people made them feel genuinely welcome. They sometimes made weapons, but refused to let young Vrogash handle them, because the locals would be frightened. He was taught that if someone started a fight with him, he was not to hit back, just protect his vitals. It was important that the locals "learn not to fear orcs."

They never said the word "Mauloch" in his hearing. He was raised to worship the Eight Divines and be a good, peaceful citizen, a model citizen, better and kinder than anyone else in the village. Just so they would remain welcome.

By the time the game downloaded I was already in love with Vrogash.

Vrogash's parents were traveling in High Rock even before the Daggerfall Covenant was formed, selling their wares (blacksmiths) despite extreme dislike of orcs, because they were weary of violence.

When the Covenant was formed, they decided to settle in High Rock permanently and raise their small son to assimilate into Breton culture. Wait for it, because my 15yo has a grasp of nuances you would not believe.
