Bonnie Raitt - Million Miles
Finished listening to #BonnieRaitt 's discography and I loved her most recent album, Just Like That. The lyrics of "Made Up Mind," "Just Like That," "Waiting For You to Blow," and "Down the Hall" capture scenes and emotional moments so vividly. And her vocals match each of them perfectly. It's inspiring to hear someone in their 60s continue to make great #music. I hope that if I reach that age, I will continue to have something of unique and high quality to offer the world.
Recently, I've started to pay more attention to the #lyricists and other personnel listed on the #music I listen to, and I am learning about a vast pool of #musicians I've never heard of. For example, many of the songs on #BonnieRaitt 's first album were written by #Black people. Can the industry do a better job of acknowledging everyone's contributions? Maybe #DJ s should mention songwriters and soloists when announcing #bands and #vocalists ?
That melodic nuances of the second verse of "Nick of Time" really shine.
