Made from a piece of Bubinga I’ve had for many years with Total Boat epoxy inlays, I’m installing the frets here using my drill press and an eBay fret press caul. I hit record on my phone when I was messing around on bass the other day warming up. Here's a video, why not. I never post em. This is just with tons of overdrive on a tiny guitar amp. I just got a cheapie new bass fuzz pedal I gotta try. Should beef up that sound.

I've been playing #bass for about 2 years. I have never bought a bass myself. The one I'm learning on is one I bought 5 years ago for my son (who didn't take it up).

So I bought my first bass today and can't wait for it to arrive. Custom built by a luthier. 32-inch scale, 5-string. I am dying to get some low Cs and low Ds.

I made my first pedalboard. It cost me $0.

It's great because now I can pick the entire thing up and move it out of the way then just plug in the one power extension cord and everything turns on.

Yes, I need a better power solution (Cioks!) and tonnes more pedals as soon as I can afford them. lol

The playing on the 2022 solo bass version is probably better, but I rather like the original demo. The pad and the percussion add a lot.

Was just talking with someone about unresolved chord progressions, which was really what this was all about. Sometimes it's really satisfying to not satisfy.

Another VA visit this morning. Quick and to the point. The nodules on my fretting hand are non-cancerous cysts, and while they're not a big deal, they'd prefer to remove them, so now I have surgery at the end of March. I need to get a lot of #BassGuitar playing done before then because I'm going to have a few weeks of no playing.
