"Když jsem kritizovala všechny tyto znepokojivé události týkající se oslav nacistických kolaborantů, byla jsem vystavena šikaně, pronásledována, očerňována a bylo mi vyhrožováno smrtí. Takováto kritika ukrajinské paměťové politiky je v době války privilegiem a můžou si ji dovolit především intelektuálové mimo Ukrajinu. Většina Ukrajinců si to nedovolí kvůli strachu z obvinění z podněcování „ruské propagandy“, tedy „kolaborace s nepřítelem “, což může znamenat i soud a uvěznění. Svoboda slova se ve válkou zmítané Ukrajině, v níž jsou etnonacionalistické historické mýty jádrem válečné propagandy, stala luxusem.

- mě nejvíc zaujal tento závěr, ukazující kam až zachází válečná mentalita davu či státu vuči osobní svobodě slova a hledání objektivních faktů. Pokud ostatní evropské země do války vstoupí, je toto předobrazem budoucí likvidace zbylých svobod slova i v nich?
