Hi does anyone here use a Zoom H1 Essentials recorder. It has an input marked mic/line but when I feed a line signal into it I get the sound plus a click afterwards. It doesn't happen if I feed a mic level signal. So it seems this is something to do with the different levels. Thoughts?

So I guess I need a pad/attenuator. Anyone know one that uses a 3.5mm jack that I can get in Europe?

Ieri tanto setup per microfonare ognuno dei componenti del quartetto #Jazz cui partecipo e alla fine io non mettevo la pinza sulla tromba, e il microfono della batteria era troppo lontano...

Non è facile fare tutto da sé, ma quando uno è hacker è hacker !

La prossima volta mi sa che non microfono nessuno e proviamo a fare lo streaming con un solo microfono "ambientale" (ma io ho solo quelli dinamici a gelato, potranno fare al caso mio ?)

Y’all, we just discovered a weird thing on #iphone. If you send someone an sms, leave the message app open and put it in your pocket, it will automatically start recording audio. This makes it incredibly easy to accidentally send audio, as the stop button and send button are in the same place, the close button is on the left.
I don’t know if this is new behavior with the new iOS, or why it would do this. Anyone know how or why it was implemented thusly? #apple #infosec #audiorecording #automatic #sms

Audio people who know about microphones, pls help!

I need a mic I can connect to my phone ideally (Android, USB-C but I can 3.5mm dongle it up). I'll be using it to go out into the bush and record ambient nature sounds (birds, water, rain etc). But also things inside my house like a kettle boiling, typing..general foley type sounds.

I don't know mics. I don't know what I'm doing. Is what I want even possible with the one mic?

Recommendations please!
