#audiomo day 30: decided to rap this year's audio mo up with a play through of, what I think to be the best version of the rhythm heaven megamix final remix, or as some call it, remix 10, enjoy and I hope you like it

#AudioMo day 30

To wrap things up, I basically decided to mess around on Heaven Studio and somewhat ended up making what I would call "Screwbot Factory but instead it's a Fillbot Factory"

I haven't made any audio mo's in the last few days as a lot of stuff was going on at the time.

#AudioMo Day 30 part 2: Here's an honorary mention.
I came up with this slow, plodding, barely moving thing about an hour ago and called it 'Incandescent Heat' because that's about all I can manage today.
It feels sad, contemplative and like saying farewell, so it seemed fitting to post again before the month runs out. Or in this case, slowly shuffles out in it's hot slippers like the old man it is.

#AudioMo Day 30: Here we are, the final post for the year, so let's end with something a bit fun.
between 2005 and 2011, I would hang microphones out of my bedroom window during the Notting Hill Carnival, an event that happens in London on the last Sunday and Monday in August. I lived on Colville Square at the time, which was a great place for some fantastic sonic goodness.
I would live-stream whatever went on outside the window, and archive it. After all the music was done for the day and I hadn't yet remembered to turn off the stream and recording, this happened. I'm very glad I hadn't stopped recording.

#AudioMo day 30:

Well, I guess that's it for AudioMo for another year. June was not a great month for me, personally. Seems appropriate to flush it...

I live in a house with flushometer toilets, meaning they don't have tanks. They're more like public toilets than what you would normally see in a residential building.
I've only ever seen them in houses in this neighborhood in Queens. My previous house in the same neighborhood also had these types of toilets installed.

Anyway, with a flushometer type toilet, you can push the handle every few seconds to make the water run around the bowl continuously, so I did that, and made a toilet flush last for about 48 seconds, wasting lots of water in the process. Seems fitting somehow.

The Witching hour

I record the cicadas in a tree next to the road just after sunset as I talk about twilight, far red light, and how to enter Faery.

36.0 Echos / Echo #29 - Beach Day
makertube.net/w/rhwRWouAZ9v67D

Echo recorded on Zoom H5, most likely with the XY mic capsule, on Feb 12, 2022, edited today.
At the #beach. Sounds like a #summer day but it was in #February so probably an unusually sunny and warm day where everyone was out.

#Ocean in the background makes it a bit noisy.

#AudioMo Day 29: Jona's New Drums.
A quick jam in which Jona, our drummer tests out his new Roland kit, and Alf the bassist and myself try out random chords to see where we go, having no real idea beforehand. We do this a lot and it's great fun to see if we're on the same page or not.
Recorded on #Jamulus in December 2024.

This is a recording from Penn Station, New York City, March 3, 2019 at 6:51 AM. Captured with an iPhone 8 hosting a Shure MV88 microphone, as I was waiting for a train to North Carolina.

I finally attended my first Field Day in a park near the Ohio border. Here is a clip of making some contacts on 15 meters CW running as W9TE. In the background you can hear the outdoors, other people in the distance, and a nearby generator. #HamRadio #ARRLFD

When times were better, my partner and her family used to go to the Bronx zoo almost every weekend. I only did this a few times.

One such time, October 5, 2013, I recorded this from just outside the sea lion pool. ?Captured with a pair of Sound Professionals MS-BMC3 microphones on glasses and an Olympus LS14 recorder. The image is what I would consider quasi-binaural, best heard with headphones.

#AudioMo Day 27: The shortest thing I've likely ever posted. I was in a lift today that beeps twice, then chimes slightly flatter than the beep and with a third chime, then announces the floor. I'm curious to know what make of machine does this, but I am not a lift expert.
