🔥 JOTN

@vriphish76 weird set. Sit ins were cool but that tumble 🔥

@Mp yeah the Tumble kind of saved the set. The rest was very standard at best minus No Rain.

@vriphish76 yep call me hasty, but the Mann Tumble is JOTY

@LeftyintheADK @vriphish76 there needs to be a site where these things can get upvoted and stuff, like phish.in

@LeftyintheADK Rick shredded. The peak was amazing. But it was mostly one gear, (minus a small section) all type one with Rick absolutely dominating a large portion (the best parts) of the jam. Not complaining. It was high energy and absolutely smoked. But not quite complex or unique enough for me for a JOTY contender.

@vriphish76 very true, felt Peter’s ability to bring the jam back with his synth was also a key ingredient

@LeftyintheADK I like to see them bring down the tempo (more often) for just a little bit in the jams coming out of these faster tempo songs. Lots of times Cotter goes mostly one speed. (Very fast with lots of notes).

He did a great job with that in the Arrow from Atlanta the other night. Gives a little more space for others to shine and then Rick can bring it home at the end.

@vriphish76 I actually think Cotter does a much better job at bringing down the tempo compared to Ben, I think he’s a little bit hesitant - but with more playing, more patience and down tempo could show @chopaganda

@LeftyintheADK @vriphish76 @chopaganda He really does explore the space more, there's just more room and dynamics - It's great!

@scarletfi @LeftyintheADK @vriphish76 I like that Cotter plays off the band and the band plays off of Cotter. With Ben, Ben played off the band but the opposite rarely happened.

@LeftyintheADK this is what I’m talking about. Take it down a notch!!!

@vriphish76 ever since Tumble, this has been prime Goose - top tier

@LeftyintheADK this jam is outstanding. Nobody is trying to do too much. A real full band jam from start to finish. Rick is finally starting to solo a bit now. But the first half was a full band groove oriented funk jam.

@vriphish76 I can’t wait to listen to set 2, it looks damn good..

@LittleTokyo Tumble thru the end (minus the abrupt ending to Red Bird) was amazing.
