Raising The Alarm ... A #rooster stands against a softly blended green background, its plumage featuring contrasting dark and light hues. Digitally hand painted in #Corel Painter with the #Wacom tablet and stylus ... loosely based on my own #photography.

A next version of @kde@floss.social Plasma is just around the corner and it will come loaded with new features for drawing tablets and improved #wayland support. Shout-out to @redstrate for making it happen as part of their work on the We Care About Your Input - #KDE Goals project.
There is even a website with the current status and planned goodies.

My first comic page.
Featuring Loch Ness.
Digitally drawn with a Wacom. All ideas by me.
@lindsays @dragonarchitect Granted, I always welcome competition as it makes it easier for people to get started and forces established players to up their game and cut prices.
OFC they achieved dominance with both IP & patents as well as providing a very plug & play experience, with basically every creative & engineering software to if not take advantage of it, at least work fine with them.
I don't claim my experience to be autoritative, up to date or scientifically backed up (sample size N <200 = not a scientific dataset) and I think it's important that I take a closer look...
@lindsays @dragonarchitect
Really?
But then again my recommendatio for #Wacom is just my experience as #Sysadmin and someone who equipped #CreativeProfessionals and daily-drives an #X230Tablet, so I'm biased due to 15+ years of experience with Wacom.
It's just that I have my plugs and have even setup some fancy stuff like 27" Cintiq Pros on free-floating arms so people can tilty-swively them however they feel ike with their setup...
I always recommend people to try out said devices if possible. Maybe you'll find it to work out fine or be useless...
@dragonarchitect I'd recommend looking at a #Wacom #Cintiq tho, as they are excellent in quality and just work everywhere...
As all previous years, I've done a bit of everything art-wise!
here's some of the pieces for my art vs artist
"Dr. Kniseley Covered Bridge" ... my latest. The bridge was built in 1867 and is an 80-foot-long (24 m), medium Burr Truss bridge with a shallow gable roof. I hand-painted this one in #CorelPainter with a #Wacom tablet and #artpen ... loosely based on my own photo with lots of artsy fun stuff added.

A recent commission i finished for @wildkitfox ! It was so much fun to make
Timelapse @ my teleg channel :>
I'm distraught about this. My current setup is (was) the only way I have to do art in a desktop environment. If anyone familiar with #wacom on #linux has any ideas, I'd appreciate it. (It's not #krita's fault here, I can see the mouse jogging around as I move it elsewhere with the tablet too). This is an X11 session on a freshly upgraded #Debian Bookworm.
