Long shot but is there anyone that could help me possibly re-tool my resume. I’m looking for a part time job at semi-local library. I’m kinda overqualified for the aide position as I have a Master’s (not in Library Science)I’m super reliable and I’m just not exactly sure how I’d make myself most hirable. #library #resume #hired

From what career consultants call a "portfolio career," I have 6 resumes: acting, teaching, writing, content strategy, production and admin.

Just put them together into 1 page for an application, and it's, dare I say it, kinda fancy in some ways. It's almost like I've done stuff, like a real boy.

Sorry, I just saw this on their website and have to rant:

"I would even suggest you to take the extra step of using ChatGPT to write your content..."

That's just (morally) wrong IMO.

I can maybe understand when people use #AI to do things humans *can't* do themselves, but people have been writing resumes themselves for decades without AI (or even computers for that matter). So this just seems lazy and somewhat disingenuous.

Infosec ExchangeLord Doktor Krypt3ia (@krypt3ia@infosec.exchange)The advent of all these ATS (Allegedly AI systems but I think many are just poorly constructed and operated ML applications) to scan resume's and make recommendations to HR folks have made it nearly impossible to get your resume into the hands of a HUMAN being. So, all of those job seekers out there, who have experienced, as I have, the application process to either just get a canned "no thank you" email on a Sunday morning at 1200hrs, you feel me. With these systems, no matter HOW you tailor your resume using all their buzzwords, you are STILL not likely to be seen by a human, and if you are, these fucking things SCORE your resume like a demented American Band Stand!
