...the Instagram of P.K, who composed and arranged the song and is listed as one of two lyricists, along with his FearGOD colleague, BIGTONE:

A glance at the linked page suggests that "Thank you, Jesus/Yeah, I'm so lucky" lines were not just examples of English words and phrases being inserted without much thought to their meaning.

Some questions occur to me:

- I know that Christianity has a following in South Korea that it does not have, for example, in Japan. Are Christians in the Kpop industry represented in proportion to their presence in the South Korean population, or are they over represented?

- Usually Kpop songs are free of anything that might be politically or religiously controversial. Were Say My Name's agency unconcerned about any negative impact allusion to Christian belief might have in markets where either governments or populations are ill disposed to anything smacking of Christian proselytizing?

And finally, some social commentary from BTS. Baepsae translates to "crow-tit" and is a reference to a Korean idiom - "If a crow-tit tries to follow a stork, it'll split its legs". It's about social hierachy and the struggle of younger generations in Korea.

Because I love him and this stage is so cute. "Inside my head, you and me are already flying in the sky, My heart is racing."

This track is so cosy. "Mmm, mmm, ride the wind and fly to me, my bluebird."
