This tour was the peak for me. I purchased the tour book and ended up attending ten of the fourteen shows, while managing not to miss too many classes at college. Had some serendipitous luck from the NCAA hoops tourney. John Hilgart<p>When you read first-hand concert accounts of <a href="https://heads.social/tags/gratefuldead" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gratefuldead</span></a> shows from 1993-1995, you never learn that there was a wild Lesh/Weir/Welnick trio episode in Space - yet those trio episodes are everywhere. By 1995, it becomes almost a set piece - an assumed pre-Garcia portion of Space.</p><p>Nor do you hear concert recollections about Garcia doing something wild and free during Space, yet some of his most memorable late-Dead performances are located in Space improv.
