OK folks, I'm ready to give up on Duck Duck Go as a search engine. Maps are unusable, and News is 100% articles on MSN skimmed from real sources.
What privacy-first options do I have?

I searched for something yesterday that I knew existed.
Even putting double quotes around a specific keyword, it still split that keyword into two words and provided alternate stuff.
It took me an hour to find what I was looking for.

Why google sucks these days. It shouldn't be hard for a search engine to return a hit on this venerable blog. Bing can do it. But google is pretty sure you don't want hits on the exact search term first. They figure you want some of those terms that appear on what google thinks are website people think are super important these days.

The boss wants me to set up 2fa on the work gmail account, which is fair enough, but it turns out to be impossible to do so.
In order to set up 2fa with Gmail you must first associate a phone number with your account because Google are greedy data-hoarders.
But I don't have any business phone number and I am unwilling to associate my personal phone number with my employers gmail account.
So we had to do the dance where I give it his phone number and he forwards the sms confirmation to me and then I set up 2fa and then delete the phone number.
Every other one of the services he's asked me to set up 2fa for didn't require a phone number.
It's mostly just Google that Sucks.
Damn. Google wasn't playing around when it set out to force users back to Chrome. YouTube doesn't work at all now for me on Firefox. Videos went from loading slowly, to now not loading at all.
I'm sure as hell not going to go back to Chrome. So I guess I'll get the content I'm looking for on TikTok. #GoogleSucks
