Incendies isn't a horror movie but it's more horrifying and disturbing than 99.99999% of all horror movies ever made, and not just because of the violence.

It shows us how easy it is for humans to engage in violence, most particularly men, casually and without care, and what that costs.

We're familiar with what we're shown because we see these images every day in our reality, though in a different context, religion being the common theme.

It's free on Kanopy via participating libraries in the U.S.

Watch it knowing as little as possible about the plot and let it unfold and envelope you. If you appreciate the art of #cinema, this is a reward.

I was devastated starting with the bus scene, less than halfway in.

As of now, I'm fully team innie. I love that I'm not the only one who considers Mark Scout to be devious.

I wasn't heartbroken or conflicted when Mark S. chose to stay with Helly, but I was shocked.

Season 3 should explore the harm all outies cause, and the innies' vigorous pursuit of their rights.

And who/what tf was in the hallway?

Still so many mysteries.
