$Hazy red, white, and blue cotton candy-like strands form the shape of a spinning toy top on its side. It takes up most of the frame. A bright orange-white point with diffraction spikes is in the center. Moving away from the center, the immediate surrounding oval-shaped area—the body of the top—is dull in color. Further away, more vibrant wisps form a circle around the center. The lightest area is toward the top right. The edges of the top are dark purple. Above and below the top is a thin, lighter, slightly curved jet which is perpendicular to the disk of the top. Behind the jet are red hazy areas. Dark swaths of space are on the left and right sides. Bright orange and blue points of light, which are stars, have small diffraction spikes and are scattered throughout the image.$

The wave-like patterns that can be seen near the center of this image are the result of charged particles from a central pulsar striking surrounding, ring-shaped gas and creating shocks.

A nebula. To the right of center in the image is bright blue gas that forms circular waves that extend outward from the center. In the midst of this bright blue gas are yellow wisps and red filaments that swirl around the bright blue center. White stars are spread throughout the image.
