Image content: a Bluesky post by Gillian Branstetter: “No matter your station in life, there is astoundingly little separating you from those men in that cage behind Kristi Noem. No charges, no attorneys, no hearings, no trial. Just conjecture and brute force could be enough to justify completely dehumanizing you, too.”

#Families have begun to arrive in recent days at a #detention facility in South #Texas, & #immigration lawyers are expecting more to be brought in the coming days. A second detention center…is being readied for families.

Each of the facilities is being set up to hold thousands of people. At one site, lawyers say, multiple families are being detained in rooms with 4 to 8 bunk beds & shared bathroom facilities.

@mattblaze This racial discrimination also includes 21 MoH recipients from the all Nisei #442nd RCT (Regimental Combat Team, Go for Broke) during WWII. The 442nd had the most MoH recipients for a unit of just 4000 men. Most were #American citizens who had enlisted to "prove" their loyalty to the #US while their friends and family were incarcerated in #concentrationcamps.

#CoreCivic, the corporation that operates the facility, announced that it had reached an agreement w/ #ICE to reopen the South #Texas #Family *Residential* Center in #Dilley, TX, w/room for up to 2,400 people, making it one of the largest #detention centers in ICE’s portfolio.

CoreCivic spox Steve Owen said “it’s our understanding that this will be housing families again. It’s a family residential center.”

"The military contractor came under scrutiny in 2007 following the Nisour Square Massacre, when Blackwater contractors opened fire and killed 17 Iraqi civilians and wounded 20 others — raising questions about oversight and accountability of private contractors. Several contractors were charged with manslaughter, and four were convicted in 2014. Trump pardoned them at the end of his first term in December 2020."

AND SO IT BEGINS.

Politico reporting on private "soldier of fortune" companies like #BlackWater are selling #OrangeHitler on the idea of using "private citizens" (aka: "vigilantes") to arrest (suspected) "illegal aliens" and send them to any of a dozen #ConcentrationCamps on military bases throughout the country.

And you KNOW #MangoMussolini just LOVES this idea (already complaining how long those 12M deportations are taking.) #Fascist #Fascism #Racists #Racism #ProudBoys #DisasterPresidency
