This week I've mainly been reading no. 236.

Tim Winton's latest novel, Juice (2024) uses the Moby Dick narrative structure (sort of) to relate a tale of a soldier in the post-climate change harsh (Mad Max-like) Australia whose career for the Service has seen him fight against the capitalist oligarchy. Its an adventure well told with a subtle politics underpinning the action. Winton is a great writer & this diversion into semi-Cli-Fi is a compelling read.
