I have a new release out on #Soundcloud #Bandcamp, #mirlo and #Bandwagonfm

It's called Arrival at Kepler 16b and is a cinematic track detailing the arrival of the first settlers to that far off planet. Kepler 16b really does exist and it has two suns.

As usual it was recorded live with no overdubs using hardware synths only.

Do take a listen, like or subscribe or perhaps even buy a copy!

Just a gentle reminder that my latest track, The Storm Cometh, is available on Soundcloud, Bandcamp, #mirlo and #Bandwagonfm only. Not on streaming sites.

I would appreciate a listen, like or follow or perhaps you might consider buying a copy. If you don't like my experimental music, then there is plenty of great music on these sites and the money goes to the creators and not big business.

Hugs, Sammi

So, I uploaded a couple of tunes to #mirlospace (Mirlo) but was unsuccessful with the same to #bandwagonfm on bandwagon.fm, I’m unsure what audio formats are allowable, WAV and FLAC definitely are not. Only lossy compression? I don’t use services that intentionally degrade the music I do. Only a simulacrum of my music is not what I’m willing to put out for consumption.
I realize that streaming services will degrade a track depending on the internet connection, but starting with a degraded signal for those listeners with a decent internet connection and decent gear to listen to my music with is a non-starter for me. Even when I’m actively listening to music on my phone, the least gear I use is a pair of earbuds with three speakers in each ear. Or if I’m at home, a set of $150 headphones. They’re the only way I can hear the subtleties of the music I favor. Think of the intricacies of Steely Dan music of just about any classical music.

Back in May 1995, I released "Radio Interference" on cassette (IDM-3004). It has been on #soundcloud for a bit now, but given this month is officially the 30th anniversary of this album, I thought I'd do a bit of promo. Mixing electroacoustic elements with computer music and techno, the release was pretty #avantgarde, 3 decades ago.

It is now on #bandwagonFM so it'll show up on the indie beat radio. More to come.
