#Zara has a predominantly young female workforce.

The assumption is they’ll be so desperate for work, they’ll just accept the dire health threatening conditions…and if they don’t, there will always be another young person who will.

I feel a similar disgust for #MoyaTea - the South Korean #Bubbletea franchise that get teenagers to dress up in giant padded teddy bear costumes to dance and lure young people into their shops. The temp was in high 20’s during #Pride and they were still out in sun.

I don’t understand how #Zara in #Norwich hasn’t been closed down. The air conditioning hasn’t worked for ages…it was sweltering when I went t in there a few weeks ago before the current heat wave. Now it’s 37C!

It’s just cruel to the staff.

Would a unionised retail workforce force CEOs to put the welfare of staff above profits?
