Hi everyone. I'm in a bit of an emergency situation. I need to ask for help, and have nowhere to turn for it. My leg was broken a few weeks ago after being hit by a car. (The risk of navigating the world as a blind person.) My leg was mangled. I've had four surgeries on it since the accident, and am now using a wheelchair permanently, or at least for the foreseeable future. I'm trying to adjust to that idea. I'm currently in a rehab facility that specializes in helping newly wheelchair-bound folks learn how to navigate, build strength, and retain independence. It's been extremely hard work but I'm grateful to be here. I would be a hopeless mess if I wasn't. After copays and medical supplies/equipment, I am completely financially destitute, which puts my living situation in danger.

Hi everyone. With the help of a charity donation, I've been able to pay a portion of it, but I am still short by $425. I'll be going home from here by the end of the month. I need a home to go back to. This is a dire situation that is causing me so much stress that it is affecting my progress, stealing my focus, and making me extremely depressed. I'm asking for help here because I've gone through all of my available resources. I have no family who can help, nor friends. And I can only hope that the kindness of strangers and distant friends might be enough to help keep me afloat during this emergency. I know it is a lot to ask, but I would consider myself blessed beyond measure if anyone would be willing to donate to my cause. Please help me if you can. I would appreciate it so very much.
