I went to a Bulwark Live event last night in Nashville and it was awesome! It made me feel hopeful for the first time in a while. One of the highlights was Justin Jones, one of my state legislators who got kicked out by the Tennessee republican supermajority a few years ago after trying to force change after yet another school shooting. He's inspirational. And only 29!! He said as punishment for the incident a few years ago he was removed from his committees and put on the agriculture committee because he has no experience with agriculture. But he started traveling around the state meeting with farmers, and now he's one of the only elected officials meeting with them about the impacts of tariffs. He said a lot of people in deep red districts are changing their minds about democrats because they're the only ones trying to talk to and help people. Attorneys working at a law firm that just cut a deal with President Donald #Trump are reportedly in open revolt.

#TheBulwark's #SamStein reports that more than 500 associate attorneys and staff at #AllenOveryShearmanSterling US LLP signed a letter imploring the firm not to take an offer from Trump to do #ProBono work on behalf of his administration in exchange for him not revoking security clearances.

⬆️ Gratifying to see #JonathanLast make this point at #TheBulwark.

Two black female election workers were successful in bringing #Guiliani to justice. Another white female was able to bring #Trump to justice for defamation [and implicitly for rape]. A black AG in NY was sussessful too.

Meanwhile, #Garland and #JackSmith slow-walked ALL prosecutions until after the elections, and Smith is NOW hurrying up to wrap up his cases 🤔
