“The Bat” was one of the final films of leading man Jack Pickford (pictured here w/ Jewel Carmen) who was the brother of Mary and Lottie Pickford and the husband of the late Olive Thomas. He made his final film in 1928 before passing in 1933. There’s a lot to say about Jack Pickford but mostly that despite being almost as enigmatic on screen as his sister Mary, he didn’t quite live up to his potential.
