January 15, 2019 – A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to remove the question “Is this person a citizen of the United States?” from the 2020 census.
The new question had been proposed by the Trump administration after prompting from then-presidential advisor Steve Bannon and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, appointed by Trump to lead a voter fraud commission.
