#MANILA, #Philippines – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (#Phivolcs) announced in a #Facebook post at around 4:30 pm on Wednesday, October 2, that there was an “ongoing eruption” at #TaalVolcano in #Batangas.

Phivolcs has yet to provide further details about the eruption.

From Sunday to Monday, #PHIVOLCS said #KanlaonVolcano also emitted a 300-meter tall plume which drifted east, and was considered “moderate.”

The #volcano, which is located in #Negros Island, also generated 2,968 tonnes of #SulfurDioxide flux on Saturday, August 3.

#MANILA, #Philippines – State volcanologists raised #Sorsogon province’s #BulusanVolcano from Alert Level 0 to Alert Level 1 on Wednesday, October 25, which means that the volcano is in “a state of low-level unrest.”

#Phivolcs said in an advisory on Wednesday afternoon that it has observed “a sustained series of volcanic earthquakes,” totaling 121, since October 14.
