A real treat: On Sunday I was one of the lucky ones to attend a zoom workshop where Beth Johnson taught the Baby Grand Piano by Patricia Crawford. This is the result of a fast paced hour of folding, without additional refinement. A fun fold and a great model from the early seventies!

The Collapse of the Cylindrical Wedge
That is, a section of a cylinder where the planes intersecting are not parallel. The eye of the vortex appears to be one of the foci of the ellipse. Round objects added to stop the eye from normalizing the shape, as it *will* do, no matter how many times I've told it not to.
