Spring training is officially starting in the baseball world, and that means writers like Sal Maiorana are covering the Yankees news. I love his no-nonsense writing style about the team’s buffoon of a manager, Aaron Boone.

On injured pitchers Clayton Beeter and Jake Cousins, Maiorana writes: “Boone is optimistic that both will be ready by Opening Day, but then again, Boone is probably optimistic that Elon Musk isn’t going to destroy democracy.”

I have been a #Yankees fan since around 1964. There have been as many dismal seasons as great ones.

But because they failed to sign Juan Soto (George Steinbrenner must be spinning in his grave), I have now become a former Yankees fan.

And if this ridiculous "Golden At-bat" idea passes, I will become a former baseball fan.
