Twelve teams were invited to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) American football playoffs in the U.S. this year. This is probably not what the NCAA had in mind when they designed the college football playoffs: None of the top-four NCAA American football teams that received first-round byes won a single game in the playoffs. If Ohio State beats Texas today in their semi-final match, as expected, then the two lowest-ranked teams of the final eight will be in the final.

The Aflac stat from the Iowa-Nebraska game was amazing. The most wins by a team that averaged under 250 yards of offense per game over a season is 4 (2008 UCF). Iowa currently has 10 and is just under 250 yds/game. They'll blow that record away and could even add another win or two.
