@FlyPastRush @canadianglen Soon, very soon... The whole bunch is ready for decals now, but I was mainly focussing on the X-15 to catch up.
Quite pleased with the paintjob so far... #ModelAircraft #ScaleModelling
In between painting sets on the other group… I had to break into the next project to have a look see… and that somehow turned into more than a look . Great detail and fit with this 1/48th Accurate Miniatures B-25 #ModelAircraft
1/48 AM B-25C/D Mitchell kit is very nicely detailed throughout and includes nose weight and canopy masks… best get back to work on that other #ModelAircraft group though
This Weekend in The Hangar: Just started another new #ModelAircraft build. Updating my old, but respectable 70s era Monogram kit with a different version utilizing the Accurate Miniatures Mitchell. So let's take a look back at that Monogram build: https://www.flypastrush.com/post/twin-big-gun-1-48th-monogram-b-25h-mitchell
@FlyPastRush @canadianglen ....all in various states of completion #ModelAircraft
Is this #ModelAircraft Déjà vu…? No just your typical white paint job that takes several thin coats in a couple of sessions to get something decent looking done. The O-2A will be white… The CF-104D just the wings and nose & for the 86, it’s just a base for the aluminum.
Eventually made it into the paint shop with the latest group to get a shot of white paint on #ModelAircraft Going to need another coat, at least, however the initial one is done
This Weekend in The Hangar: The Maintenance crew made room for another T-Bird #ModelAircraft . Looking quite different in European Camouflage, it fits in well with the recent Canadair Sabres. Take a closer look with these shots taken in the RCAF Wing: https://www.flypastrush.com/post/euro-penguin-1-48th-academy-t-33-shooting-star
Working on building up the O-2A Skymaster #ModelAircraft Some nice fitting parts and some that gap here with this 1/48th ICM (Revell) kit (however it is WAY better than the old Hawk/Testors/Italeri kit).
Now I have some catching up to do with the O-2A if it’s going to make the #ModelAircraft paint shop base white set with these other two RCAF examples
Crew be saying, Let’s get this Show on the Road (Preferably in the Air actually) Need to get some more #ModelAircraft work done before heading for the paint shop. (Nudging it out of a stall)
Getting crewed up for the next couple of RCAF #ModelAircraft builds. Red T-shirts for the CF-104 crew to go with the tanks
Another display deck at The Hangar got a bit of re-arrangement yesterday. The Canadian section now has a couple of more early jets added. (The maintenance crew wore themselves out with all that maneuvering in this tight space.) - Cheers
#ModelAircraft
Got one crowded Hangar Deck here. Full of US Navy and Marine Corp types …not that I’m complaining except I did hit my head going around that Tomcat #ModelAircraft
Spotted some Yellow Wings in the #ModelAircraft Hangar tonight. It certainly looks nice & bright Buffalo Wings Wednesday
This Weekend in The Hangar: Remake & Re #ModelAircraft - I ended up giving a new look to one of my (not so well) aging kits. In this case a USAF F-86 transformed into a RCAF Mk. 5 Sabre. Check out the new look at: https://www.flypastrush.com/post/rcaf-re-finish-1-48th-academy-f-86f-sabre
Here we have a 50s-60s RCAF bit of Canadiana #ModelAircraft happening in The Hangar
Now that I look at it… I can’t decide if it’s more Organized
, or more Chaos
(6 #ModelAircraft on the go - 3 almost finished - 1 still under the bench pending room on deck.) In actual fact it ebbs n flows from both these points
Managed to get some productive time on these RCAF early jet #ModelAircraft types. The Sabres are getting some final details done before heading out to The Hangar. (Hopefully more time this weekend to finish them off. ) Enjoy your free time
