MobilizeMarch 4th Virtual Town Hall with AFT NM @6pm MST · AFTPublic education is under attack. From funding cuts for our most deserving students to anti-educator and anti-public schools rhetoric, those who want to weaken our schools are working harder than ever. But we can’t just stand by.
### On March 4th, join us for a Day of Action to defend public education!
We are asking you to take part in one or both of the following actions you can take from anywhere in New Mexico:
- Action 1: Wear Red for Public Ed – Show solidarity with public educators and public schools by wearing red! Post a picture and tag @AFTNM with #RedForEd.
- Action 2: Virtual Town Hall at 6:00 pm– Join us for a critical discussion on the challenges facing public education and how we fight back. We will have speakers from our New Mexico communities and more! RSVP here and submit your questions.
Every student deserves a fully funded, high-quality public education. Every educator deserves respect and support. Together, we can push back against these attacks and demand better from lawmakers and decision-makers in Washington, DC.
