So it’s been 8 days since sailed on to his one particular harbor. In that time, I have been listening to his music a lot and actually found much needed positivity online-a community of mourners-people who understand. For me, raised on Jimmy, this has been as hard as Jerry’s passing. Whether you liked him or not, he truly was a national treasure (much like our beloved Dolly Parton-very successful and doing good works wherever there was a need). As Jimmy sang, legends never die.

Didn't know that #PaulMcCarney & #JimmyBuffet were close friends. Paul has a touching tribute to him on Insta. Paul plays on a new Jimmy song coming out the 8th. He mentioned another new song he particularly likes: "Bubbles Up" Paul told Jimmy it was the best his vocals had ever sounded.

Paul played for Jimmy & family at his home last week. He writes: "Right up until the last minute his eyes still twinkled with a humor that said "I love this world & I'm going to enjoy every minute of it."

Still struck by coincidence of my watching entire Stern interview of #Springsteen the day before #JimmyBuffet passes. Bruce's vitality is one of many things you can take from the interview. The fragility of life was not one of them, though they did spend some quality time talking about #ClarenceRIP. Anyway, these two guys, both epic songwriters, performers, both went hugely, and disappointingly to some, commercial and both even did Broadway shows celebrating their personal brands? Quite a pair!

This makes me sad on so many levels.💔

I don't know that I classify as an official parrot head because I never went to any of his concerts, but I was a fan. Jimmy was remarkable and iconic.

My favorite Jimmy Buffett songs:

1. Pirate Looks at 40
2. Trying To Reason (With a Hurricane Season)
3. Tonight I Just Need My Guitar
