[a very well-written article with a favorable yet realistic angle on the #Fediverse]
"At the heart of these alternative apps lies the Fediverse platform — a portmanteau of "federated" and "universe" that represents a radical reimagining of how social media can work. Unlike traditional platforms where users are locked into isolated ecosystems, the Fediverse operates as an interconnected network of independent servers that communicate with each other through a standard protocol called #ActivityPub."

@hosford42 If it was in any way true that the “feedback” was transformative, it wouldn’t have taken them this many years to do something about it. They’ve continued to operate as a hate group for all this time. The criticism has remained the same because their hateful actions have stayed consistent over time.
The only thing they can do to redeem themselves is to spend every last dime they have correcting every hateful thing they did until they are out of money and then shut their organization down permanently.
The question I have is what motivation #Forbes has for laundering their reputation.

#FORBES is now a known wing of the MAGA movement. They produced the video featured on COVID.GOV
Don't get me wrong, I hate #Trump with a passion, but given the tariffs are only euqal to or less than those charged by countries on US imports why does everyone think this is so unfair? I agree it won't help economies, but just in terms of fairness it doesn't seem that unrerasonable to me. Or do people think these quoted figures are misinformation? There is a full list on #Forbes #ustariffs https://www.forbes.com/sites/mollybohannon/2025/04/02/heres-the-full-list-of-trumps-reciprocal-tariffs-announced-wednesday/
This sickens me for various probably-predictable reasons I may still write about later, but for now I'm just referencing the facts presently known.
«The Washington Post, citing two unnamed people, reported representatives from DOGE were using AI through Microsoft’s Azure service to go through data with “personally identifiable information for people who manage grants, as well as sensitive internal financial data”»
«Elon Musk's DOGE is working on a custom chatbot called GSAi. The chatbot is part of Elon Musk and President Donald Trump's ambitions to use AI and other technologies to cut costs and modernize the US government.»

Yet another "Forbes 30 Under 30" alum charged with fraud.
The Forbes-30-Under-30-to-prison pipeline is such a well-known phenomenon that even Forbes covered it.
