"As I watched Max walk off with a group of foreign strangers into an unknown land, it felt like a glimpse of my future, and his. I was slowing down, and he was speeding up."
For The New York Times Magazine, Paul Tough writes a lovely essay about a father-son trip to #Uzbekistan and watching his child come into his own: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/17/magazine/russian-language-kazakhstan.html

"As I’ve become an adult and struggled to manage my own temper, I’ve realized that Dad, like me, craved a calm and predictable environment, and his atypical eldest son’s chaotic energy destroyed his sense of equilibrium. I don’t fault him for this." —John Paul Scotto for The Sun Magazine
Coffee, nowhere to be, little else to do, & so I’m #NowSpinning #FathersAndSons by #MuddyWaters.
This is the latest dispatch from #VinylMePlease &, as per their other offerings, the presentation is super high quality. I’m not super-familiar with this album, but the pressing is clean, flat, & centred. This is a #KevinGray cut & the SQ is warm, smooth & reminds me a little of the feel of Howlin’ Wolf’s London Sessions.
