The EU Digital Identity Wallet is a great way to make use less dependent on big tech platforms, protect our privacy and share data in a sensible and secure way. Ofcourse there are hurdles and risks. But i prefer a democratically controlled solution over one from Apple and Google where we have no influence on privacy, protection, ethics etc.

With all the fake content and identities around, this is a very ineresting paper:
"Personhood credentials: Artificial intelligence and the value of privacy-preserving tools to distinguish who is real online". It seems like the same what the EU is building with digital identity/wallet. Although i am not sure the details of implementation are as privacy preserving as this proposal ? 🤔

Identiverse being the best identity conference around means that it’s always a challenge coming up with a talk proposal, as Andrew Hindle and team raise the bar each year. The process acts as a forcing function for me to think about the topics I want to bring to the community for discussion, topics that I encounter all the time in #DayJob, but seldom have time to dig into.

This year I wanted to build on my talk from last year, but realized I couldn’t tackle it alone. Thankfully, I managed to con(vince) two absolute rock stars in Michelle Finneran Dennedy and Eve Maler to join me on stage for a fireside chat about the ethics imperative facing our industry.
