12 June 2025 | A Gazan boy, Adam al-Najjar, arrives in Italy for medical treatment.

Adam is the only one of 10 children in his family to survive an Israeli strike on their home in the city of Khan Younis, southern Gaza, on May 23. His siblings ranged in age from seven months to 12 years old.

Adam’s father, doctor Hamdi al-Najjar, also died of his injuries in the days following the attack. His mother, paediatrician Alaa al-Najjar, had been working at the time of the strike at Nasser Hospital, one of the few still operating in southern Gaza.

The current Auschwitz maintainers have not retracted their resolution (auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw) which includes:
"Threatened in its existence, the State of Israel has the right to self-defense in accordance with international law and the principles of humanitarianism."

Note the contrast with their statement regarding Ukraine (x.com/AuschwitzMuseum/status/1) which includes:
"This morning, Russia attacked Ukraine. This act of barbarity will be judged by history, and its perpetrators, it is to be hoped, also by the International Court of Justice.
As we stand at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial, it is impossible to remain silent while, once again, innocent people are being killed purely because of insane pseudo- imperial megalomania."

My comments are not about Anne Frank at all, but about the abuse of her abhorrent death under the current circumstances. I am ashamed to have Jewish blood myself.

@Brian_Mahoney : you are replying to a write-only spam channel.

The current Auschwitz maintainers do not read comments. If they would, they'd fix the many dehumanizing mistakes they make, such as in mastodon.world/@auschwitzmuseu, mastodon.world/@auschwitzmuseu and mastodon.world/@auschwitzmuseu (there are many more).

It is a disgrace. Nearly all pre-captivity pictures are of Jews. They prefer children. They are pushing their hasbara spam while making fools of Holocaust victims. Meanwhile their mistakes do not seem to matter. Some people will boost anything tooted by "Auschwitz".

And they call anyone objecting the abuse of Holocaust victims, to support Israel, an #Antisemite (which I think I'm not: my grandfather was a Jew from Arnhem who miraculously survived WWII while his family was murdered by Nazis).

Former IDF guy Avner Shalev (auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw) and his Zionist mates (*) just want people to feel sorry for Israeli's.

(*) See their resolution at the bottom auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw (and compare that to their statement regarding Ukraine in x.com/AuschwitzMuseum/status/1).

Either they are blind (unlikely) or the *current* Auschwitz maintainers DO NOT CARE about Holocaust victims.

This is, by far, not their first dehumanizing blunder.

Go ahead, click-cattle, and BOOST - and feel good about what you just did.

They're not Jews. Which is the reason that the *current* Auschwitz maintainers don't bother to look up their non-captivity pictures (which they do for Jewish Holocaust victims).

Neither do the *current* Auschwitz maintainers tell the story of these two Dutch men and they don't correct their database.

Prisoner number 23610 (victims.auschwitz.org/victims/) was known as "Sef Janssen". His birth name was "Jozef Antoon Hubert Janssen" (see openarchieven.nl/rhl:8b0c6e62-). His release is not even mentioned.

Prisoner number 23611 (victims.auschwitz.org/victims/) was not "Johann Giesen" but "Jan Giesen". His birth name was "Jan Pieter Antonius Giesen" (see archief.venlo.nl/collecties/bu). His release is not even mentioned.

Their story -in Dutch- can be found in (both are http links) roermondsepoort.nl/terug%20uit and roermondsepoort.nl/r-55-jansse (archives, using https links, in resp. web.archive.org/web/2024022410 and web.archive.org/web/2022100700).

Note: according to the second link, Sef Janssen was born on 21-06-1914 (Blerick), but that may be a typo in that article.

Sef Janssen and Jan Giesen are also mentioned in this Dutch thesis (PDF): pure.uva.nl/ws/files/145681402.

"#Auschwitz warns us of where ideologies of hatred can lead to."

Exactly.

From the bottom of auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw:

RESOLUTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL AUSCHWITZ COUNCIL ON THE TRAGIC EVENTS IN ISRAEL, APPROVED BY CIRCULATION ON 18 NOVEMBER 2023

The International Auschwitz Council by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland acknowledges with the deepest pain and sorrow the suffering of innocent Victims – tortured, raped, taken hostage, and murdered by Hamas terrorists.

We wish to express our unwavering solidarity with Israelis and Jews worldwide.

Threatened in its existence, the State of Israel has the right to self-defense in accordance with international law and the principles of humanitarianism. The existence of a free, sovereign, and democratic Jewish State is one of the pillars of world peace.

The unimaginable hatred and violence perpetrated by terrorists only results in extensive and more widespread suffering – affecting also the civilian population of Gaza, whom Hamas exploits as human shields.

An essential first step to halt the horrifying spiral of death and war is the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, a demand we make with all our might.

One of the board members is a former high-ranked member of the Israeli Destruction forces (auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw).

They don't care about holocaust victims in their automated spam stream, which is only intended to make people feel sorry for Zionist Jews who live NOW.

If more details about this Holocaust victim are known, including a picture, why is it more important to broadcast such information on the internet (*) than to update his record in the Auschwitz' victims database in victims.auschwitz.org/victims/?

Not even his fate and date of death are mentioned there.

(*) Which at least I finds disrespectful, especially while so many Gazan children are being starved or murdered in other ways today.

Her birth name was not Eva Klein but Eva Schuit (see joodsmonument.nl/en/page/17759).

Her name became Eva Klein-Schuit once she married Günther Julius Klein.

Perhaps there was an Eva Klein who was also born on May 7. However, the only Eva Klein I could find in the online Auschwitz database, with no other details than name and date of birth, is in victims.auschwitz.org/victims/ - but according to that record she was born in 1927.

I could not find any information related to "Eva Schuit" or "Eva Klein-Schuit" in victims.auschwitz.org/victims/.

Respectless toots like the one above are not meant to remind people of Holocaust victims, let alone "Never Again" for anyone. Instead, it's #NeverAgainJewsOnly.

Edited May 8 to correct that the Eva Klein mentioned in the screenshot below was born in 1927, not 1912.

His first name was "Kurt" (not "Curt"), as can be seen in, for example, joodsmonument.nl/nl/page/18885.

If I look up his last name in the online Auschwitz victims database (victims.auschwitz.org/victims?), I only find his sister (victims.auschwitz.org/victims/) - with abhorrent minimal details.

What was Kurt's crime to not be included in the Auschwitz online database? And why are neither his wife nor daughter present? Why are you broadcasting such information instead of fixing your database? How is this not #Hasbara?

And why are naive people boosting such toots, while Smotrich wants all Gazans "CONCENTRATED" in a very small part of Gaza (timesofisrael.com/smotrich-say)? And while this nonsense remains at the bottom of auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw:

Threatened in its existence, the State of Israel has the right to self-defense in accordance with international law and the principles of humanitarianism.

Previous toot in this series: infosec.exchange/@ErikvanStrat

He told the listening audience that the population of Gaza, some 2.3 million Palestinians, would be “concentrated” in a narrow strip of land between the Egyptian border and the so-called Morag Corridor, which runs the width of Gaza between Khan Younis and the border city of Rafah.
[...]
The rest of the Strip, he added, “will be empty.” He did not elaborate how confining all of Gaza’s war-battered population into a narrow strip without the ability to leave would be a humanitarian act, but added: “They will be totally despairing, understanding that there is no hope and nothing to look for in Gaza, and will be looking for relocation to begin a new life in other places.”
[...]
“We are finally going to occupy the Gaza Strip. We will stop being afraid of the word ‘occupation,'” he had said, and added that after occupying the Strip, “we can talk about sovereignty.”

Historically, according to Article 42 of the Hague Regulations and precedent in international law, it has been generally understood that a territory remains effectively occupied so long as a belligerent's authority is established and exercised over it, even if said belligerent does not have ground forces deployed in the area.[4][5]

The Palestinian legislative election took place on 25 January 2006 and was assessed by international observers as fair and free.[18][19] It resulted in a Hamas victory, surprising Israel and the United States which had expected Fatah to retain power.[20]

The war resulted in over two thousand deaths, the vast majority of which were Gazan Palestinians.[40] This includes a total of six Israeli civilians who were killed as a result of the conflict.[41]

My grandfather was a jew. Mina Leuw's mothers maiden name was van Straten (see joodsmonument.nl/nl/page/18316). Like my grandfather's and mine. Mina may be a relative of me.

I am DISGUSTED by toots like the above from the current Auschwitz mainainers, who do not care about holocaust victims.

AT ALL.

Instead of updating their database (see screenshot or open victims.auschwitz.org/victims/), they abuse them for Hasbara. They literally facebook them as well. Without permission. This was in 2024: facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=84 (she will probably be reposted later today).

One of the members of the Auschwitz council is Avner Shalev (auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw), a former high-ranked IDF-officer.

Part of their resolution (auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw) reads:

Threatened in its existence, the State of Israel has the right to self-defense in accordance with international law and the principles of humanitarianism.

Compare that to their statement regarding Ukraine in x.com/AuschwitzMuseum/status/1 (or look at them, side by side, in infosec.exchange/@ErikvanStrat).

Previous toot: infosec.exchange/@ErikvanStrat.

By tooting holocaust victims, they want you to feel sorry for Israeli's who live now. Israeli's, as I write this, have been blocking all humanitarian aid to Gaza since March 2.

Israeli's are today literally starving one million children in concentration camp Gaza (as well as bombing them).

I hate your world, and I loathe all the idiots who boost such dehumanizing spam.

@ManyRoads : I can't ask my grandfather (a Jew born in 1900, he survived WWII but his family was murdered by nazis) about this anymore, but here's a small rewrite I made of a couple of sentences in the article (eirenicon.org/this-is-not-a-mi) you refer to:

"There was no affection in Rafah. There were no gifts in Gaza city. There was only degradation, starvation, terror, humiliation, and murder. The record is clear, the testimonies plentiful."

The resolution at the bottom of auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw sounds like a message straight from the #IDF (which makes sense after reading auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw). It includes:

Threatened in its existence, the State of Israel has the right to self-defense in accordance with international law and the principles of humanitarianism.

The *current* maintainers of the Auschwitz comcentration camp are a disgrace: #NeverAgainJewsOnly

eirenicon llc · This Is Not a Misstatement. It’s Moral Collapse.I never, never imagined that grandfathers of Jewish children—figures like Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu—would dare to entertain, let alone allow, such words to be spoken in their presence. Donald Trump, while standing alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, invoked the Holocaust to draw a grotesque analogy. Speaking of hostages held by Hamas, he asked […]

@normalemoewe92 :

My grandfather (born 1900) was sent to Nazi labour camps. He was not murdered by Nazi's (like his family was) because he was maried to a Dutch woman (who had to flee Arnhem with my dad and his sister and a few belongings) by feet.

Holocaust musea around the "civilised" world ONLY mean JEWS when they preach "Never again". For anyone but Jews this implies Holocaust denial.

Worse, land theft is being legitimated by those musea, and anyone who objects must be silenced for "antisemitism", if not die.
