The sad saga continues around Liz Hoover, admitted fake American #Indian and Associate Professor of Environmental Science, Policy and Management at University of California, #Berkeley.

Long story short, she built her very successful academic career around a fake identity through lies and gaslighting actual #Native peoples. Even after being discovered, she took months to come clean. She basically sounds like a more shameless Rachel Dolezal.

She continues to be employed by #Cal despite the fraud.

Actions like this erode the relationship between #academia and #Indigenous peoples. It breeds mistrust, not just in institutions of higher learning, but even in legit Native people working in said institutions. Really sad.
