Interesting observation for my own posterity... I had a good #A1C at the latest check-up (6.7 IIRC). The doc took me off of glipizide as a result, hoping that just #trulicity would be sufficient. However, now, for the past month, I've been struggling to control my blood sugar. And, when it gets high enough, the effect is... oddly reminiscent of being high. It's not the same effect of course, but... it's close enough for me to notice. Huh. 🤷

@ScienceAlert "In mice", but I use #OliveOil, a lot, and have had quarts of #olives as a major component of my weekly #diet, from meals to snacking.

I have a mid-year #health checkup Thursday so I'm very interested to see what my #A1C level is because I've returned to a more regular diet, including bread, wine, and lower-sugar desserts, since my last checkup in January when my level was 5.5.

I've been on 10/1,000 #Synjardy, from 5/1,000, since then.

🤞🏿

#diabetes follow up. 3 months after original diagnosis. Diet, exercise, and metformin, and I got my #a1c all the way back down to (high end) of normal range! Not even pre-diabetic range.

Off metformin, but keeping all the life style and eating changes.

The big win for me was 30 minutes of brisk walking every day, (literally) rain or shine. A couple of times it was right before bed, in the dark, but feels like it made all the difference. Dropping 14 pounds helped as well.

Doing my second at-home #A1C test about a month after my first, which was 5.6, and just over 3 months since I first got into full and consistent #Ketosis by following a (tough) #KetogenicDiet.

Result in about a minute... 🤞🏿

Well, fuck. Either the meter is off, or I did one of the tests wrong, because I got a 6.5 this time, no different than my last checkup which was months before I started my new diet.

I'll see what I get at my next checkup, in January. I'm very disappointed.
