No time like the present for an #introduction 
I live in Chicago with my cat, dog, lovely wife and our baby boy (born Dec 2023). We've done a stint in Golden CO, and lived in DC for 5+ years.
I'm a software engineer by trade - mostly working in Ruby and Rails with heavy devops lean.
Got turned on to #goose by their 2021 cover in Spotify's discover weekly, and caught six shows there between Aspen and Red Rocks. Being terminally online, I also got into couch tour and Goose/jamband Twitter
Having a community that's reacting to live streams, sharing memories and photos from shows, dissecting jams and making jokes about the music and bands we love has meant a lot for me.
I didn't want to lose that (future RIP to Twitter), so tried starting a Goose centric Mastodon. @chopaganda and @sethadam1 saw it and got in touch about starting a 'bigger tent' server, which I thought was a great idea. Not long after, https://shakedown.social booted up for the first time.
