@Phreba I applied early decision to one school back in 1997 because I had great grades and test scores and no money for college applications (or tuition). So I picked the one I liked best and applied, hoping for the best. Thankfully it worked out.
@juvenilesuccess having this discussion with my son. He has like 10 schools on his list. I just told him, be realistic and save me some money here. Can’t wait for this process to be over for him. He’s a great kid and really good student, but ffs, he has some unrealistic choices. Umiami is on his list and I told him, we aren’t letting you live in Florida. Sorry dude.
@juvenilesuccess @Phreba back in those 90's in NY you could pick 4 state schools for 1 cost. $75 iirc.
@Phreba We spent $360 on 5 schools, absolutely ridiculous. It’s tough out there for colleges though, just scraping to get by
