Red Light sucks at Phish. 8 show tour is perfect and was not really their choice. Ok someone had to say it over here. Short tours. Been saying this for over a decade. 8-10 show tours with a NYE and these guys will continue to thrive. Look no further than 2022 for the results of long drawn out tours. #phish #jambrosia And return Dick’s to a 3-night stand!! #thanksforfollowing

@Stoneycase I also don’t understand why they don’t almost exclusively play three+ night runs. At this point in their career (and at their ages) they should be cutting back on travel as much as possible. Settle into a venue and get comfortable.

@Nolasox this tour proves it without a doubt. And it wasn’t really RL’s plan at all. They’re flying between venues too. No long bus rides. 15 min mark on of Seattle “Wave of Hokas” I knew this tour would be special. #phish #spring23

@Stoneycase Yeah they played 46 shows last year. I’d rather see that spread out into 5 8-ish show runs plus NYE, as opposed to the long summer tour. It’s gotta be easier on the band too.

The only concern with short runs is that they may need time to warm up and by the time they’re warmed up the run is over half done.

BUT, this run has proven that’s not always the case. Seattle was very strong and then they dropped what might be the best set of the year on n3.

@Nolasox personally I think long tours are stressful because Trey knows he has to conserve and spread it round. That’s too much thinking. And one off stops are more stressful. The catalog so massive and fan base so diverse in tastes, how to check all the boxes in one night? All my hunches coming true this tour.

@Stoneycase @Nolasox If the band doesn't take too much time off in between runs then it doesn't need as much time to shake off the rust, at least that's my argument.
