Listen, if you are in favor of things like organic agriculture and healthier, less-processed food, there are thousands of qualified clinicians and scientists that could make that same case without leaning on pseudoscientific misinformation and being anti-vaccine grifters. You do not have to hand it to RFK Jr, not even a little.
He will be a disaster for public health and scientific research in this country and by extension the world.
@mielcarz yup, and imagine thinking that the Trump admin will not allow big food to pay their way around any regulations etc. this is all so absurd. No one actually cares about the health of the people.
@mielcarz My wife is a research scientist at NIH. Her boss was trying to tell her that nothing will change, that their work survives across administrations. I’m trying to help her understand how bad this could be if he gets his way.
@Mdphunk I understand putting a brave face on it as a boss but anything at or funded at the NIH (including my job) is potentially at risk. I have hopes that it won't but if you go by his statements…
@mielcarz I was watching local news and whooping cough was mentioned. I wryly said to my son "let's do a Bingo card for what diseases also make a comeback."
(I am very pro #publichealth and am disgusted with the level of intentional ignorance being passed around by people who look up to RFK, Jr., etc.)
