@mielcarz @chris Figuring out the studio all of a sudden? I don’t get this sentiment. Rift is a masterpiece. Hoist is great. Billy Breathes, Ghost, and Farmhouse are all fantastic albums. Junta is incredible in its uniqueness.

Round room was their first meh album IMO. And they haven’t really made anything great since...

@Bandino @chris I like most Phish albums, but the vast majority of them are basically made in a way where the songs sound as if they are being played live. With rare exceptions they don't really use the studio as a place to have a different take on a song that can only be played in the studio. What I've heard so far from Evolve has some effects and things that they wouldn't use live but make for a more interesting album.
