And I don't have a floppy drive in my current desktop or laptop.</p><p>Then I found older USB Flash drives. One of them with old family recipes on it.</p><p>Then found an old laptop, a Toshiba Satellite 320cdt I'd forgotten I'd had. Windows98 and a version of Puppy GNU/Linux on it.</p><p>Floppy drive worked.</p><p>Oh, this should be easy.</p><p>Tried to burn a copy of her floppies to a CD. Kept failing. Cainmark Does Not Comply 🚲<p>Just realized Ken Follet's "Kingsbridge" book series hits the same spot as C.S. Lewis' "The Chronicles of Narnia" and "J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" does for me. Cainmark Does Not Comply 🚲<p>Heard a story about Lin-Manuel Miranda releasing a new album based on the 1979 movie "The Warriors". We downloaded it from Hoopla from the Public Library. Spouse had never seen it but followed the story well because the concept of switching out the costuming with band styles really worked. She hated one character's voice because she doesn't care for that kind of music, but he is the bad guy. And each page was made of fire 🔥. It was very important that the different types of fire were classified correctly and the books were placed in the right places. There was no heat.
