Also took another step for the #pandemicpond filter barrel

The pipe from the pump just entered the 2" PVC "hole" as I wasn't sure how it would all work.

Now that things good, I attached the pipe permanently ($12 for the three pieces of the adapter). Ill cut it down to size at the next rainfall.

This will also make the anti-siphon valve work.

meanwhile... in the backyard... 🤯 🪏

Okay so I evened out the yard and planted some more white clover.

My mother is coming over in a month or so and she said she'd help me choose native plants for the garden.

I should be good now.

I just need to think about what else I want to do with that little yard. Something like a table with chairs would be nice.

It’s clearing plumeria bloom season as another has started! This is the classic plumeria bloom that makes me think of Hawaii. It’s the one my kids would buy as hair clips at ABC stores. It’s only got a slight jasmine smell, but it’s got sturdy blooms that can stand up to a tooth pick so you can wear it in your hair. #bloomscrolling #flowers #gardening #yard #garden

We have a lot of azaleas 🌺 . They are popular around here. I like them because they tend to be very individual. Two never bloom at the same time or in the same colour.

Almost all ours are blooming now.

Except one. On the northeast corner of the house Just a few feet from the others. Not even a hint.

It's like "Nope. Not ready. You'll just have to wait for me" 😒 😂

Native species are important to the local ecology, but most people today have no idea what species are native to the area they live in - and probably they'll move soon anyway.

We also had a nest of bees in our yard a couple of years ago. We put up a small wood partition and let them be. How many people are willing to just let nature be?

And would the HOA even let them?
