Vegan HighlandOne One Two<a href="https://www.oneonetwo.co.uk/allergens" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Allergens menu</a>This stylish wine bar in Nairn is serving up a creative small-plates menu inspired by South East Asian and Middle Eastern flavours.They recommend two or three plates per person and these come when they are ready, so works best if you are dining with folk you can share with.Plates are dainty, flavourful and interesting. The menu updates regularly, but you’ll see similar dishes to those pictured below. Our favourites were the crispy Peking aubergine, a delicious chickpea and vegetable kofta served with dal (apologies, I ate it too fast to take a photo!), and bonus points for a proper vegan dessert with sticky toffee pudding.As it is a wine bar, they offer a great choice of wines and their wine flights are a fun way to sample a selection.You do need to check the allergens menu on their website to see vegan items, which is a little laborious. But it is good to see they’ve taken the trouble to produce a proper allergen menu, and gave me confidence in knowing which dishes were vegan. If you did visit without checking options, the staff were genuinely helpful, positive and informed.
