Although he died peacefully at home, it still makes me sad to share the death Dr. John Paul ‘JP’ Montgomery. He was Emeritus Professor of English and the founding Dean of the Honors College at Middle #Tennessee State #University.

There are a lot of fond memories and accomplishments at #MTSU that I associate with JP, but his successful ‘big tent’ Poetry Slams stand out for me.
